Southeast Michigan IBCLC's of Color (SEMI) consistently 'show up' for families by providing services, developing advocacy, leveraging relationships, and mentoring countless other professionals entering the field of maternal/ infant health work. Their commitment to reducing disparities in Black maternal and infant mortality in the Southeast Michigan region is visible in the significant programming of our organization.

All parents & caregivers that feed human milk, whether exclusively or with supplementation, are welcome to receive judgement-free, clinically skilled lactation support. No matter what your feeding journey looks like, we're here to support you.

  • What to expect

    Our lactation specialists can work with you to address chest feeding concerns. Specialists provide support and answer questions regarding latching, comfortable feeding positions, weaning, and more.

  • Additional Support

    We offer growth checks to ensure that your baby is on track. Breast pump consultations are available to help you understand and effectively use your breast pump. Lactation support is also offered virtually.
